Voicst
Voicst are a three-piece indie rock band hailing from Amsterdam. "Voicst" is South African slang, meaning "manic energy". Support from influential Dutch media outlet 3Voor12 and The Dutch Pop Institute led the band to Lowlands, the huge Dutch festival, and also netted Voicst their first appearance at the New York CMJ Music Conference. For three consecutive years they toured Benelux with the likes of Bettie Serveert, Nada Surf and Tenacious D.

In 2002, Voicst kicked off their career with a much anticipated show at the Winston in Amsterdam. In the following years, Voicst opened for other bands like Tenacious D, The Raveonettes and Nada Surf. Voicst built a solid live reputation and were invited to play at the Noorderslag Festival. The years after the release of their maiden album would be marked by tours and performances at the many festivals in the Netherlands; their album also won several awards. Voicst embarked on a UK and European tour, during which they supported The Bravery, The Presidents of the United States of America, Juliette and The Licks, The Posies and others. Voicst’s new album (A Tale of Two Devils) was released in January 2008.

Gonzo
The early music of the Debrecen-based band was already characterised by catchy vocals and danceable rhythms influenced by the britpop of the nineties. After this period, Gonzo took a short break in making music, but in 2005 they came back and since then have polished their style, mixing old school britpop and alternative music with pure and energetic post-new wave sound and fresh indie-dance tunes. The outcome is an eclectic, modern, dynamic and entertaining mixture. Gonzo is getting more and more popular in Hungary playing gigs in their hometown and the capital city or performing on festivals before bigger bands.

2008 was a turning point for the band. They won the Hungarian round of the international ABC International Live Awards contest in pop category. They released their debut studio album entitled Lost and Found, which was highly praised by critics. Gonzo also made their first video for “Peeping Tom”, their first single from the LP, which was an instant hit on the national radio stations and MTV Hungary. Thanks to this, “Peeping Tom” was nominated for the 2008 MTV Europe Music Awards in the Best Hungarian Act category and Gonzo made it to Liverpool, the venue of the Awards, as the Hungarian winner. They have just released their second video for the song “Superego” and are writing new songs for the forthcoming album.
